Carlos San Jose has joined Corcoran Partners as Deputy General Counsel. He is an attorney, public affairs strategist, and government relations professional with extensive experience in legislative advocacy, municipal operations, and legal consulting.
During his time as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Hialeah, Carlos advanced the City’s legislative initiatives at the state and federal level. In this role, he collaborated with advocacy teams, monitored policy developments, and negotiated contracts on behalf of the Mayor and City Attorney.
Prior to his work at the City of Hialeah, Carlos worked as Deputy Chief of Staff for Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo from 2021 to 2024, where he was instrumental in securing over $15 million in state and federal funding for critical city projects. His leadership extended to serving on the City’s Retirement Pension Board and as Vice-Chair of the Hialeah Centennial Celebration Committee, further demonstrating his commitment to public service.
In addition to his government work, Carlos founded San Jose Law, P.A., a firm specializing in mass tort litigation, legal research, and advocacy. He has played a key role in plaintiff representation for national and international lawsuits, including Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) claims and water contamination cases under the Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022. Previously, he worked as an Associate Attorney at De la Rosa Law, P.A., focusing on personal injury and mass tort litigation.
Carlos’s career in politics and public policy began in campaign management and government affairs. While managing Mayor Esteban Bovo’s 2021 campaign, he oversaw grassroots operations, media engagement, and fundraising efforts. Prior to that, he served as Commission Aide to Miami-Dade County Commissioner Bovo, conducting legislative analysis, community outreach, and constituent services. His political experience also includes working on U.S. Senator Marco Rubio’s 2016 re-election campaign and serving as an immigration and policy intern in Rubio’s Miami office.
Beyond his professional career, Carlos actively contributes to his community as a board member at Monsignor Edward Pace High School and St. John the Apostle Catholic School where he serves on public relations and finance committees.
Carlos holds a Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List multiple times and participated in FIU Law’s Summer Abroad Program in Seville, Spain. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Miami and an Associate in Arts degree from Miami Dade Honors College. Fluent in English and Spanish, Carlos is a skilled communicator who brings a strategic, results-driven approach to law, government affairs, and public policy.
