As Managing Partner of Corcoran Partners, Matthew Blair has more than 25 years’ experience leading local, state and federal policy and appropriations advocacy efforts on behalf of clients.  Matthew is known for effectively representing the varied interests of a diverse client base before Florida’s local and state government and has been named local lobbyist of the year by Influence Magazine.

 

Throughout his career, Matthew has developed particular expertise in the transportation, retail, gaming, alcohol, education, tobacco, information technology, healthcare, insurance, environmental, development and land use, telecommunications and regulated utilities industries.  He’s secured more than half a billion dollars in appropriations funding, lobbied countless pieces of legislation before state and local governments and has achieved a remarkable track record of success on clients' behalf.

Matthew's leadership extends to dozens of candidate campaigns across the Tampa Bay region. He has guided campaigns for city, county, and state officials, fostering a legacy of success for county commissioners, mayors, city council members, sheriffs, state attorneys, judges, and members of the Florida House and Senate.  During his career, Matthew has also consulted and led statewide referendum and corporate communications campaigns.

 

Matthew is a member of the board of directors of the Tampa Bay ChamberFlorida’s Children First and MapleRidge Ranch.  A Tampa native, he attended the University of South Florida.  He and his wife, Tracey, have four children; Caleb, Abigail, Joshua and Ellie, and a goldendoodle named Mollie. They are active members of Idlewild Baptist Church.
