Matthew Blair has more than 25 years’ experience leading local, state and federal policy and appropriations advocacy efforts on behalf of clients. Matthew is known for effectively representing the varied interests of a diverse client base before federal, state and local governments and in Fall 2021 was named local lobbyist of the year by Influence Magazine.
Over the course of his career, Matthew has developed expertise in the transportation, retail, gaming, alcohol, education, tobacco, information technology, healthcare, insurance, environmental, development and land use, telecommunications and regulated utilities industries. He’s secured more than three quarters of a billion dollars in appropriations funding, lobbied countless pieces of legislation before state and local governments and achieved a remarkable track record of success on clients' behalf.
Matthew has led dozens of candidate campaigns over the past nearly thirty years. He has consulted and led statewide referendum and corporate communications campaigns. He has guided campaigns for city, county, and state officials, fostering a legacy of success for county commissioners, mayors, city council members, sheriffs, state attorneys, judges, and members of the Florida House and Senate. He has amassed an industry leading win percentage in candidate and issue campaigns.
Matthew is a member of the board of directors of the Tampa Bay Chamber, Florida’s Children First and MapleRidge Ranch. He and his wife, Tracey, have four children; Caleb, Abigail, Joshua and Ellie, a goldendoodle named Mollie and a parakeet named Pete. They are active members of Idlewild Baptist Church.
